Wellness Support for Music Students
Clinical and wellness staff will work hand-in-hand with music school faculty to promote a culture of wellness that supports the development of long and rich musical careers. The program will emphasize providing music students with education and resources for nutrition, physical activity, stress reduction, healthy sleep habits and incorporating good decision-making for positive behaviors. In addition, support will be provided to teach relaxation techniques and improved posture and physical coordination.
The project steering committee will involve student groups to gain input and insights into their health and wellness needs and priorities. The student audience will have a voice in wellness programming and initiative planning throughout the project.
