About the Campus Wellness Center

The Wellness Center is located in the Wellness Center on the first floor of Hogate Hall at 800 South Locust Street. The Wellness Center supports the academic success, physical health and mental well-being of all students by providing the highest quality services in a timely and confidential manner.

Health Services

  • Clinic visits – annual physicals, sick visits and wellness coaching.
  • Chronic disease management – support from clinical staff to better manage conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma and others.
  • Health risk assessments – helps identify targeted concerns and preventive health goals.
  • Referrals and care navigation – support in the coordination of specialty referrals when needed, as well as the management of follow-up care.
  • On-site pharmacy services – features a pre-defined formulary of commonly utilized medications.
  • Lab draws – conveniently available on-site with rapid results turnaround.

Most health services provided in the Wellness Center have no out-of-pocket costs to students as part of the university’s annual health fee. Specialty health care is available through local and regional-based medical and surgical specialists at Hendricks Regional Health and Putnam County Hospital.

The Wellness Center utilizes electronic medical records to enable better coordination of care, faster test results, and more streamlined physician ordering. Information will be securely accessible by healthcare providers. A patient portal will foster greater communication among students and Wellness Center healthcare providers.

Medikeeper Health Portal

Students using the Wellness Center can schedule online from their phone, computer or device using the Medikeeper portal.

MediKeeper provides an engaging, seamless technology platform to maximize the effectiveness of wellness offerings, including those available through campus programming. MediKeeper tools include the following offerings:

  • Health risk assessments
  • Online scheduling for Wellness Center appointments and health coaching with Certified Wellness Nurses
  • Customized wellness planning and support
