Protect your health this flu season by getting vaccinated at one of several upcoming opportunities.
Scheduled flu shot clinics for DePauw employees and their significant others include:
- Wednesday, October 14 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, October 15 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 21 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, October 22 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Clinics will be at The Inn at DePauw (Emerson Conference Room, lower level). Appointment not required.

Whose immunization is free?
All DePauw staff and faculty members, retirees, as well as those Anthem or United American (this is the Post-65 insurance) covered spouses/surviving spouses.
Who pays $20?
Spouses not covered by DePauw Anthem or United American health insurance will be charged $20. DePauw will invoice you following receipt of the vaccination.
Who can’t receive a flu shot?
- Individuals who have a fever or are feeling ill the day of the vaccination
- Pregnant or nursing mothers
- Children under age 26
- Individuals who are allergic to eggs, chickens, feathers
- Individuals who have had a serious reaction to the influenza immunization in the past
As in recent years, the composition of this year’s seasonal flu vaccine will include the H1N1 (swine flu) and three additional strains of the flu vaccine (A,B & #3), in one immunization. We are not able to offer the flu nasal mist vaccine, the new multi-dose (or high-dose immunization) or pneumonia vaccinations at the flu clinic.
