Below are some of the most frequently asked questions about the DePauw Health Wellness Center and the MediKeeper Health Portal.

Q: Who can see my information on MediKeeper and E-Clinical Works?

A: The information on MediKeeper cannot be seen or accessed by DePauw University; Hendricks Regional Health can see aggregate data only (with no patient identifiers).

The information on E-Clinical works can be accessed by the healthcare provider team at the DePauw Wellness Center as part of your secure electronic medical record. Also, if you are referred to a specialist within the Hendricks Regional Health Medical Group, they will have access to your secure medical record in order to provide a continuum of care. Only healthcare providers directly included in providing healthcare treatment to a patient can access their medical information.

Q: What is the difference between MediKeeper and E-Clinical Works?

A: MediKeeper is your personal wellness tool that identifies personal health risks and provides tailored information for health improvement. MediKeeper asks a series of questions and creates a customized health risk report to provide insight into how you can make healthy lifestyle changes to reduce specific health risks. It also includes an easy-to-print feature that makes it easy for you to share the information with your primary care doctor or DePauw Wellness Center physician if you so choose.

E-Clinical Works is a secure electronic medical record system for the healthcare providers in the DePauw Health Wellness Center. It is also the clinical system utilized by Hendricks Regional Health by all of the organization’s primary care and specialist offices. The system enables your care team to share information internally to provide timely, more collaborative care for your benefit.

Q: Can I schedule an appointment if I do not have a MediKeeper account?

A: If you do not have a MediKeeper account, you can still schedule an appointment by calling the Wellness Clinic at (765) 658-4555. However, you cannot schedule an appointment online without a MediKeeper account.

Q: I am an employee of DePauw, and I participate in the health plan. My spouse is also covered. Can my spouse have a MediKeeper account as well?

A: No, there is only one MediKeeper log-in per family/employee, and the MediKeeper account must be set up with the employee’s information and DePauw ID number. Once the employee is registered, they will then be able to schedule Wellness Center appointments for themselves and their dependents (spouse and/or dependent children).

Q: What information do I need before setting up my MediKeeper profile?

A: You will need your DePauw ID number for the registration process. Also, be sure to have your biometric information available (such as your most recent blood pressure reading). Note: You can complete your registration without this information and add it later.

Q: I am a retired employee of DePauw University. Am I allowed to use the Wellness Center?

A: If you are a DePauw “pre-65” retiree on the Anthem health insurance, you may use the DePauw Wellness Center. “Post-65” retirees are not on Anthem and are not eligible to use the Wellness Center.
